FEMINIST POSTCOLONIAL AND
DECONLONIAL
THEORY AND POLITICS INCLUDING THE
FOLLOWING: WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP
BETWEEN COLONIALISM, IMPERIALISM,
AND OCCUPATION (BOTH HISTORICAL AND
CONTEMPORARY) TO RACIAL, GENDER,
AND SEXUAL HIERARHIES? HOW HAVE
STRUGGLES FOR GENDER, RACIAL,
INDIGENOUS, CASTE, AND SEXUAL
JUSTICE CHALLENGED THESE
HIERARCHIES? WHAT ARE POINTS OF
RESONANCE AND TENSION BETWEEN
POSTCOLONIAL AND DECOLONIAL THEORY
AND PRACTICE? WHAT ALTERNATIVE
MODELS OF STATE, FAMILY, AND
ECONOMICS HAVE EMERGED IN
DECOLONIAL STRUGGLES? WE WILL
EXAMINE THE INTERPLAY OF GENDER,
RACE, CLASS, SEXUALITY, AND
NATIONALITY IN RELATION TO THESE
QUESTIONS.
