ART, MUSIC, & FEMINIST RESILIENCE I THE BORDERLANDS THIS UNDERGRADUATE SEMINAR EXAMINES THE PARTICULAR FORMS IN WHICH CHICANA FEMINISM THEORIZES PRACTICES OF RESILIENCE IN ART AND MUSIC. IN CONVERSATIONS WITH GUEST MUSICIANS, ARTISTS, OR WRITERS, AND/OR COMMUNITY PARTNERS, THIS COURSE CONSIDERS HOW MUSICIANS AND ARTISTS TRANSFORM FEMINIST TRADITIONS THROUGHOUT AND BEYOND THE US BORDERLANDS. EACH SEMINAR MEETING CONSISTS OF A BRIEF LECTURE, DISCUSSION BREAK-OUT GROUPS, A MID-WAY BREAK, AND A VIEWING/LISTENING TO RELEVANT FILM, MEDIA OR AUDIO TEXTS, OR ASSIGNMENT WORKSHOP. COURSE LINKED TO ANNUAL WOMEN WHO ROCK UNCONFERENCE AND ANNUAL SPRING POP CONFERENCE. OFFERED VIA SYNCHRONOUS REMOTE LEARNING
