FEMINIST THEORIES OF WORK
THIS COURSE EXPLORES FEMINIST
THEORIES OF WORK. THE COURSE WILL
OFFER STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO
LEARN ABOUT FEMINIST CRITIQUES OF
WORK AS WELL AS ABOUT WAYS THAT
FEMINIST THEORISTS FROM ACROSS THE
WORLD HAVE REIMAGINED THE ROLE,
PRACTICE, AND ORGANIZATION OF WORK
IN PEOPLE'S LIVES, WITH A
PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON DECOLONIAL
APPROACHES TO WORK. IN ADDITION,
THE COURSE WILL GIVE STUDENTS
SPACE TO REFLECT UPON THEIR OWN
EXPERIENCES OF WORK AND TO
DEVELOP ALTERNATE VISIONS AND
PRACTICES FOR THEIR OWN
WORKING LIVES.
