Monica De La Torre, who received a PhD from UW in Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies in 2016 and who now teaches at the School of Transborder Studies at Arizona State University, was recently interviewed by The Seattle Times. In her interview, Monica discusses chicana/latino heritage as it relates to community building via public radio, the topic of her new book "Feminista Frequencies," which is due to be released by University of Washington Press in April.
