Kemi Adeyemi, the director of Black Embodiments Studio and an Associate Professor of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies, has played a pivotal role in commissioning South Seattle artist Ari Glass for a unique public art project. The project, called Current Resident, aims to bring free artwork from Black artists to unexpected places, such as junk mail. Adeyemi's vision is to disrupt people's routine of sorting through mail and provide them with an opportunity to encounter art in an unconventional way.
