Ramon Johnson, a graduate student in the Department of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies, recently published a book review in the Men and Masculinities journal. The review critically examines Dr. Saida Grundy's ethnographic study, Respectable: Politics and Paradox in Making the Morehouse Man.
In addition, Johnson contributed an essay titled "In the Wake of Blu Bone's Wicked Womb" to the December 2023 edition of A Gathering Together Literary Journal. The essay discusses Blu Bone's artistry and its resistance to antiblack logics of being and masculinist genre norms in rap.
These publications showcase Johnson's academic contributions to gender and masculinity studies, adding valuable perspectives to ongoing scholarly conversations.
