Celebrating the Success of Dr. Noralis Rodriguez-Coss: 2024 Runger/Dolliver Faculty Excellence Awardee

The Department of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies proudly celebrates the accomplishments of alumna Dr. Noralis Rodriguez-Coss. A 2016 Ph.D. graduate, Dr. Rodriguez-Coss has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Runger/Dolliver Faculty Excellence Award for the College of Arts and Sciences at Gonzaga University, where she currently serves as assistant professor in the department of Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies.

The awards committee praised Dr. Rodriguez-Coss, stating, "Dr. Rodriguez-Coss is known as an excellent teacher and advisor who integrates the Ignatian values of experience, reflection, action, and evaluation with feminist pedagogical practices to support students' learning and growth. She encourages our students with active and cooperative learning strategies that help them put knowledge into action. Students praise her ability to create a learning environment of respect and trust that allows for reflection and curiosity. Her support for students' development as whole people is also on display in her support of advisees and mentees, not only during their time at Gonzaga but also as they continue in their professional pursuits."
